they have better tutorials than most books.. plus a searchable db of functions, archived boards of Q&A.. and you can always just print of the entire manual.. bam.. instant php book. honestly.. its of the upmost quality, no need to ever get a book.

The CORE php book. That lists all the functions completely. But for learning php I would go with the Sams book thats php in 24 hours (I think). I always go back to that one.
