One question where was the Secret Service and why was that guy not shot before he sent the second shoe down Bush's way. For all we know there could have been explosive in the shoes.
Then they should have whisked Bush away because they don't know the after events that could come such as remote detonated explosive that are in the shoes.
They were really under prepared and not ready for action.
Then again maybe the Secret Service were hoping the Iraqi succeeded in some kind of mission so they can be assigned to another assignment instead of protecting the biggest idiot that ever lead the United States as a president.

Unfortunately the real Bush legacy is not as humorous as a shoe dodging.
Now that a rational government is on its way back to power in the US, we can really look back at this shit and think about just how despicable what we're doing is. This is what Bush has turned the USA in to, a country that openly tortures civilians in brutal ways. Up to and including rape and murder, despite the media limiting discussion to water boarding.
It's going to stain the US for the next 30 years as new images/stories come out.
