"Most people don?t think Silicon Valley billionaires need government subsidies, but Kevin Martin isn?t among them. Before he exits his post next month, the Federal Communication Commission Chairman is trying to put in place rules for a wireless spectrum auction that all but guarantee the licenses go to a company backed by venture capitalist John Doerr."

The editorial goes on to state,

"The proposal -- to be considered December 18 -- requires the winning bidder to build a nationwide broadband network that reserves 25% of the spectrum band for a free Internet service that blocks adult content."

Only the free service will block adult content. I don't see how this sells us down the river, looks more like you're trying to find a reason to be pissed off at the man today.
