    Caylee: Who gives a FUCK?

    10,000 children die daily in Africa from all sorts of crap. Probably more, I lost the source for the numbers. Many die in this country. People get killed in car accidents daily. Fathers and mothers lose brothers and babies on a regular basis.

    So why in the fuck is America so obsessed with these hollywood death stories? If you give a shit about dying children so much, put the SAME amount of attention on Umbukwallie in Uganda who died of dehydration today.

                  While I agree the press is ridiculous over this case and this little girl but if you cheapen the death of one child, you cheapen the death of them all. It isn't her fault her death is getting this sort of coverage and probably wouldn't in any other country.

                              I don't always like how the media "nancy graces" everything but man it's sad.. If you had kids brad you would think different.

                              We can always debate dafur and the failure of the world to protect kids but this story sucks and is sad for alot of reasons

Trying to say I don't care about children dying is fucking crap, as I obviously do. But this ONE girl in a town getting killed by her mother... this shit happens all of the time ALL over the country and world. This is NOT newsworthy.                                                                                           One thing that should be considered is in the case of a missing child the most important
                                                                                          thing is to have as many people as possible looking for them. That's what the Amber Alert does.The grandparents really pushed the exposure to gain awareness in hopes someone would find the child. They did this by going to the news outlets. They were on larry King just last night. While most missing cases just get caught up in the system a few get national attention because of people like the grandparents.

                                                                                          Once the pleas have been put out there the story gains interest and today we may now have a definitive answer to what everyone has been wanting to know.

                                                                                                                                  The interest in this case and the Natalee Holloway case are similar. People do not just disappear off the face of the Earth. When someone disappears it peaks the curiousity of people. They wonder what happened to that person and where they are. Plus it is hard not to feel bad for those families. No one wants to have a relative or friend disappear never to be seen again or their body never found. Also as a parent you are supposed to love and take care of your child, not kill them.

                                                                                                                                  Also you can't say that people on here do not care or volunteer for child rescue operations. I have volunteered for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. It is easy to volunteer for them. Then you have people like John Walsh who had a tragedy happen to him and he makes it his mission to fight injustice. He is one of the founders of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and his does his show America's Most Wanted.

What stories should be told? It's easy to bitch about a problem, but what would you do?                                                                                                                                                           lets see what should be national news. im not opposed to small stories like one liners. such as "earthquake hits california and and causes damage" its pretty much the same thing. just tell me one line, not a whole story. the whole story wont effect my life. the only news i need to see is when a hurricane is hitting florida so i know when to gtfo. the only news ive heard the past year is " economy sucks, economy sucks, death death death, murder, murder murder, death death, murder, war, war, war , war, war, war, war, war, war, economy sucks, economy sucks, happy holidays, economy sucks, war war war war war war war," hmmmmmmm interesting. i really wanna watch that over and over again. about the only funny world news is " to catch a predator with chris hanson" its funny every time i hear the answer to this question. why did you want sex from this 13 year old. the grown adult who knows better simply replies "I DONT KNOW". they say a good way to stop being depressed is to stop watching the news. my wifes doctor actually perscreibed that to her for her depression. to not read the newspaper or watch the news. cuz its just depressing shit and nothing of enjoyment. i may be well hated here by the end of this hour

                                                                                                                                                                  But I am glad there are others with common sense out there like me. I care about children. They die, and it's sad as fuck. Old people die, and people that love them are sad. Showing it on TV for months... that's STUPID. Just admit it and we can all move on. My aunt died last month. That wasn't on TV... I guess children being murdered are more important than dementia overwhelming a persons brain causing death?

The US would do well to adopt a law like that. And I'll tell you right now, the media would see it as a throttle on their free speech.. but the trick is to frame it properly, which is as a protection for our justice system to proceed unimpeded.
