good post, as others have said point #5 is my biggest hurdle, I want everything to be perfect before i put it out there. I gotta learn to just say fuck it and get it out there and finish/improve it as we go.

After my first full year in adult, I made a thread where I listed some choice tidbits about what I had learned. Now that I'm finishing up my second full year in adult, I'll list a few more things I've learned:

1) Someone is always making money, regardless of whether or not you're making money. There is always money to be made, there is always a market to sell to, and if you're not making that money, then someone else is.

2) Having dependable and honest friends and business associates is an absolute necessity. It's just too costly to try and work with people who are of questionable ethics and have a sordid history. You need to be able to depend on your friends, especially when the market is stretched thin as it is now.

3) Diversify your projects. The ability to rely on one revenue stream while another is under-performing is absolutely critical. If there are downs in adult, focus on the ups in mainstream. If there are down in designing, focus on the ups in programming.

4) Revshare is still the best. I have one revshare sponsor where I'm averaging $37.15 per signup and another where I'm averaging $88.39 per signup. You guys can keep your PPS.

5) Get it online now, and work out the kinks as you go. A pretty smart dude made me understand this one. Whatever your project is, get it online now, and work on it as you go or else it may lose momentum and it may not materialize at all.

Here's to a third year! :thumbsup

Bump for a post I do agree with :thumbsup

That is basically the entire point of business.
