Wow I never knew the other boards hated GFY so much..

I like posting on GFY and the "other board" to which you are referring and I have to say I think your painting a much different picture of how you were treated. I know full well that I cannot post links to another board but I hope its not bannable to mention a few things.

Another thread that you started asking if some pics were of high enough quality to add to your members site every response but one in that thread was either a compliment, advice and I believe one person actually did some cleanup in photoshop for you. I remember that thread because I myself told you you looked amazing.

Honestly hearing you state you were so treated so badly on the "other board" that I did take the time to glance through a few of the threads that you started in and posted in because I was amazed at your statement.

Was it your anniversary thread where every comment was congratulating you or telling you how great your site was or how pretty you are demonstrate what assholes everyone is?

Im not trying to say that no one ever said anything negative to you but god knows I have had it dished out equally to me on both boards. There are negative people every where in every situation.

I know I am probably going to hear a ton of shit about this but really if your going to generalize a whole group of people maybe you should be more specific when as far as I can see at least 90% of the responses you got were positive and so did you apparantly. Damn I have no idea what board that was, but that psychic sounds like a nut case. The abused as a child shit happens on here too. Certain people like to assume if you are naked on the internet you must have had a fucked up childhood. I never expected stupid comments like that from anyone that works in adult. Well... I don't know about you, but I've just realized that I was... or at least I think I was.

It's kinda hard to tell actually given the similarity of the referenced threads on similar "other boards".

Generally any board, whether it be GFY or another board, is what you make of it. Each board has it's own personality and, as in real, life some personalities mesh with each other and some don't. Same as sponsors, people, etc. etc. What works and is enjoyable for one may not be for another.

GFY is the biggest adult board by a universe compared to the others! being the biggest board means you get the good, the bad, and the ugly here and I think it's that mix that keeps changing is part of hwat makes it GFY!

the thing that did piss me off was that someone else posting the url of my board here and instantly caused my url to be banned which affects 20 or more of my sites not just my board .... chucky27 aka wyldworx saw we needed an extra Mod read it here so he took it upon himself to post a thread about it here without mentioning it to me first!!! it means I can't advertise at GFY sinec then or in the future!

I even got accused of being him despite the fact he is in Melbourne and known to webmasters there. I am based in Sydney. then he goes to my forum and accuses my biz partner of unspeakable molestation and then is shut down by my biz partner's ex wife. despite this we didn't ban him from our board ... anyone who has read any of wyldworx's threads/posts would know why his new nick was banned here (apart from his strange posts, he also attacked many people and then GFY) ... he was very tight with Batt's for a while and they live fairly close to each other .. so basically he gets my url's banned, gets himself banned (chucky27), and then gets himself banned again (wyldworx) all too easy ....

it even makes it hard to get a fansign!

I have found each board has their own flavor. A lot of them simply are not as busy.

However, that said, most seem to try and be more business related, so they move very slow. But... I have also found most boards very welcoming and friendly. So I guess it depends on what you are looking to accomplish.

If you are actually IN this business, and have some assets, or skills, that people are interested in. All boards are beneficial. If you are just some McAffiliate working on your weekend beer money between orders to super size fries. Then GFY is the ONLY board you need.

It's not a slam on GFY. I love the entertainment GFY brings. Simply stating the fact of the matter.

GFY is a fast moving board in almost all forums. But, there is a lot of trivial bullshit, and chicken little's posting this week's tube, to end of the industry, blah blah blah threads. Threads barely stay on page one for an hour, if that. So there is always something new.

The other boards can be more professional, and you get more business done. Those who contact you have money, or something worth offering. Most business actually closes or you develop a relationship.

I have not noticed hate for the ole GFY. But it's amusing all the same.

what...no one wants to speak the truth that GFY is less relevant today than it was years ago? Esp the deletion of legitimate business threads that deal with shady stuff going on in the biz, GFY has become more and more a place of censorship than of where the business gets done. Hey I still surf GFY and like the board, but cmon at least someone say something instead of all this backpatting.
