Wow I never knew the other boards hated GFY so much..

I just joined some other boards and while skimming thru the messages I saw alot of people saying bad things about GFY.. such as "Thats just a lot of GFY-style drama!"

I even was emailing back and forth with some guy from one of those OTHER BOARDS about signing up his GF for webcamming, and when I said to him "that board is kinda lame, it's too slow, do you ever go to GFy? Thats where I mostly post"This was his reply:

I hate GFY
I don't like the vibe.
I can't even sit still on that site for 30 seconds without wanting to click out of it. Noting but a bunch of webmaster aholes on there.

The interesting thing about this board is people will call you out if you need to be called out... it's sort of refreshing. There are politics involved on every board, but with the sheer quantity of people posting on this board, you can get away from the politics a little bit and watch people get their asses handed to them when they need it.

I don't know... I really don't take other peoples opinions seriously enough to care whether or not there are assholes on here. Life is full of assholes, the sooner it's realized the easier life is.

Forum owners are jealous of GFY. Its size, popularity, REVENUE, etc...

Yes, this place has drama, that is part of the charm, but for those that say nothing good happens here... please, if it involves adult, it is here first, hell, even mainstream news breaks here faster than Yahoo!

If you were to belong to / visit one board only, this would be it. The good, the bad, and the ugly all in one nice entertaining package.

I used to try and post on every board, but eventually came to the conclusion that everyone is at least lurking here if not posting.

Saved me a lot of time. and made the letters on the keyboard last longer.

Are you talking about the guy who posted about the stripper with 3 kids? That guy is supposed to be a diagnosed schizophrenic and he is not in adult. He started going to that board because he was stalking (probably still is) a sologirl that posted there. He has some real wacko ideas and if I were you, I would change your email, put him on ignore and stay as far away from him as possible.

I'm new on here and have been met with nothing but nice people & talented webmasters. I joined 5-6 other boards and this is the one that yields the most results for business. I like it because its not overly serious and you can still have fun and get business done in the process.

Some smaller boards are full of a small group of people that have known each other for years. You can't approach them like GFY...their usually seasoned people not assholes...its all in the approach

YES I AM HAHAHAHA.. he started this thread about how he likes this girl, shes 18 or 19 yrs old, shes a stripper with 3 kids and an abusive x-bf and how can he save her? Everyone is sympathising with him and it made me sick.. so I jump in and say "Ok Captain Save a HOE! stay far away from her.. or better yet send her to me Ill hook her up with a job!"

Sometimes I feel like I'm living on a completely different planet than most other people here. You can enjoy posting here, think it's better than other boards, etc. but do you really have to act like there aren't a billion things to hate about GFY and can't understand why it could give other people enough of a bad taste in their mouths to want to avoid it completely?

Not targeting this post at any one specific person . . . I too have gotten that same attitude on other boards ("if you want to be a big meanie, go and post on GFY, nyah!") but I do feel like it's a pretty ugly, abrasive place, to put it mildly.
