Why does switching registrars have a Google impact?
Why did switching a site from namecheap to godaddy cause me to drop in google?
Thanks

maybe it could have been something else that caused the drop but happened at the same time as the switch?

Don't know exactly why, but I've heard registering a domain for only a year at a time has a negative impact on your standings too. I understand the logic, but not how they would actually track such a thing.

Seen it before. Make sure the WHOIS info is 100% match maybe. Sometimes it seems they reset the inlinks benefit with a whois change. I have sold sites in the past and new owner almost always suffers a PR decrease.

Umm. I switched registrars. Different name server data, different server hosting, different IP.

I've seen lots of evidence that domain age improves "trust rank".
