Help with Sony Vaio Dissasembly...

Post 2 Of 2...

Can Anyone Please Tell Me Where I Can Locate The Technical Manuals,
Containing the Info For Taking Apart A Sony Vaio GR370 ?

I Need To Perform Some Routine Maintenance, But Sony Seem Reluctant To Let Me Have Access To This Information.

I Simply Want To Know The Correct Order For Removing The Casing Etc... But I Believe Its A State Secret...
I Have Asked Sony, But They Are Reluctant To Tell Me,
Stating That If I Undo It, I Would Loose My Warrantee...
OK, Well, Fair Play... I'm A Big Boy... I Can Accept That...
However, Warrantee Issues Aside...

Whilst I Want To "Do It Myself"... I Also Want To Put It Back Together Correctly As Well...
So, As Such, I Feel I Should Have The Right To The Technical Details
I Need In Order To Correctly Dismantle My OWN FUCKIN LAPTOP !!!

Thanks In Advance...

yep, again with the capitalization...
A very bad habit, one that I do try to avoid,
yet, also one that I so easily slip back into...
So, what can I say but 'sorry about that'...

Guilty as charged... etc...

Anyway... Anyone got any news on the spec sheets for the VAIO?

Heres 2 hoping...

Hey, dude... I know the score round here ;-)
So... no probs
even better news (4 me anyway) is that
Ive kinda sorted out my problem now...

You see, I needed to check for a loose connection at the base
of my power supply, inside the VAIO itself...

Anyway, after taking numerouse screws out, loosing them,
finding them, etc... I got pissed off and put it back together...

At no time did I get any nearer the power supply...

BUT THEN !!!

(And all on its own...)

It was working again !!!
YEAH !!!

So... its all cool...

Well, for now... anyway :-)

Laterzzz...
