I know this thursday Sarah Palin will be the thing I am most greatful for. I sincerely hope she stays in politics at the forefront so the current republican party is decimated and can be rebuilt as something closer to what it is supposed to stand for. More moderate, more fiscally conservative, less corruption. I think Sarah Palin is this unintentional agent of change via driving the majority of the country away from what she stands for and believes in and the nutjob right wing religious whackos that have been in control of the party for far too long.-uno

LOL the funny thing about this, is that Sarah Palin is the only reason McCain didn't loose by 20 points!!
Why?? because of the 41% of America that defines itself as conservative, 15% voted for Obama. Whereas 95% of the 39% that identifies itself as liberal voted for Obama. Conservatives, rejected McCain more than any other factor that elected Obama. If Hillary had been on the Dem ticket - that would have been 25-30% - but because Palin was on McLame's ticket - that extra 10-15% voted for the AZ Senator.
Palin is already on a short list for 2012... so some peeps will get what they want... more Palin. Doubtful she will be on the Repub. 2008 presidential ticket - but she will be a major player in the Republican Party - along with the rest of the up & coming young very conservative governers (i.e. Jindal - LA). It's more likely that she will be running in AK to take back Ted Stevens Senate seat.
