Fiddy Hamburger joints!!!

heymatty 11-21-2008 11:23 PM

Man it's not easy to get a good burger.

Lots of people like In and Out in this thread and its the only fast food place I will take my son too. I like the burger too for what it is.

There is 2 premium burger chains things here I know, Islands and Red Robin, both are pretty crap but I can eat there if I am in a pinch.

I'm trying to think of the best burger I have had in Scottsdale and the best I can come up with is one at Houston's. Normally if I go there for dinner I wouldn't order a burger but this was lunch.

Like one guy said I think sports bars and random places have the best burgers round here but its a lottery as to who is good and bad.

PS. What-a-burger is awful here. I would prefer eat a big mac than try that crap again.

It really is point of this thread. I do travel often and always have my laptop or something like it with me. On several instances I have came back here to find an old thread talking about whatever city or item to try while there and it has helped.

In N out is the best hamburger in the world. it is fucken amazing, its fresh and delicious...its orgasmic, an orgasmic experience for the tastebuds, incredibly good. Just melts in your mouth. Its even better with grilled onion for that caramelized taste and fantastic with raw onions for that special zang. It's just so good and so incredible. It's the best I ever had. I cannot live without it. It is freakin amazing. And the animal style fries are to die for. Its an orgasmic mix of special sauce, onions and cheese. It's unlike anything else in the world. There are words to describe it, it is unbelievable. So good.

I have no clue if chowhound breaks the other boards rule but if you post a thread there prior to travel you should get the best 'foodie' advice.

In Austin, for burgers, go to Hut's, Dan or Fran's, Dirty Martins, or Frisco's.

Lot's of good burger joints in this town!

Ya I could post or look plenty of other places like yelp etc. Problem I find with "foodie" sites and reviews is that they often are to um what would that be, critical or whatnot.

There was an article written a long time ago after a famous dinner where someone blew a few grand at a American Express paid for dinner in NY at some french place, the author wrote a review tongue in cheek about pork and beans (plus more) to really put some perspective into the food critiques ideas of food reviews.

I used to be a bread man and delivered the buns to this bar. They have the most flavorful fucking burgers I've ever tasted.

I haven't had one in 20 years and even now, I think about them now and then..

Our vote goes for Tommy's and In & Out burger

Local place called Boomers running out of an old A&W drive-in. Best burgers in town.

T-K Burgers in Newport Beach T-K stands for "The Kind"

rayadp05 11-22-2008 09:17 AM

I am a real big hambuger type of guy. I absolutely love them! You should try the burgers at Ruby Tuesdays. They're very good. As far as a quick drive through, I have always like Wendys. Hard to say really since there are so many good hamburger places out there.

My evidence, an Amarillo burger -Roasted Serrano chiles, jalapeņo jack cheese and cilantro mayonnaise cooked medium.

Salivate bitches!

jollyperv 11-24-2008 10:46 PM

East coast folks, check out 5 guys...they're spreading like fucking wildfire up and down the coast...greasy, fresh as fuck and delicious...super good fries as well, cooked in peanut oil.

Wasn't a fan of In & Out, ate there twice and won't be going back. Patties are too dry and the fries are fucking shit.

I ate at the vortex in ATL about 2 yrs ago. Loved the tater tots. More burger joints should serve those.

When I'm at home, I go to Char Hut, http://www.charhut.com. Cooked fresh right in front of your eyes. Great hot dogs too.
