I love Linux, but I hate using Wine... Things just don't work well in wine for me. Lately I have gone more over to blogs and do not use dreamweaver and PS that much, so I might go 100% over to Linux. But.... I have done that before and gone back to dual .... :)

Was inspired by this thread :) Just backed up whatever I needed and have done a clean install on my laptop. Currently updating and preparing to "customize" it. Just LOVE the speed I get, even on my 1,5 years "old" LT :)

old thread but still interesting , since last post moved over to centos for server and ubuntu at home, still dual booting though, cant 100% make the change to linux, dunno windows is still a bit more shiny and linuxwine doesnt work with everthing.

Did a clean install of 10.04 and everything is great, except Firefox that was a bit slow. Chrome is very good in Ubuntu, imo.

:Oh crap

I doubt they're going to respond. This thread is a few years old.

Me too, after this thread I figured I'd try out the newest Mint version and I absolutely love it.

I tried Mint and Ubuntu, but preferred Mepis. It just felt better and the MepisLovers forum is extremely friendly and helpful.
I am loving the distro choices we now have.
