    Honestly, how poor do you have to be in order to be a "contest whore?"

    I'm looking through contest threads and 100s of guys in there are posting like tweekers trying to get a couple of bucks. It made me think about how broke you really have to be to spend DAYS trying to win $50.

    You contest dudes should learn the trade and spend your time making sites. You'd made more money.

      I think a lot of them are from third world countries where $50 is more than an average person makes a month.

              contests are fun specially when you have an extra time to join, win or lose you can show your talent to other prospect clients who might need your design services. just my 2 cents.

                                              No there rarely is not. Even if there is, just win more than once with same company and walla you have reached the minimum payout. Typically though it is just free money that will be paid out to keep the damn thread at the top of the board.

                                                              most of them are simply lazy fuckers.

                                                              The countries where people make on average $50 are no more than 10 in the World, if you can get internet there AT ALL it will probably cost you at least $200 for a severely capped version, add electricity etc and that dude will have to make at least $500 just to get by

                                                              people are so confused when it comes to poor countries - look the dudes in country A live on $70 a month, with $300 per month I'll live like a king, total bull, you'll probably need at least $1500 to live OK, of course you can live on $70 - in a shack, no electricity, no sanitation, and that's if you share the shack with 6 other people

                                                                                      That will teach me to allow myself to "have fun".. I am usually against it.
