This is not a small splif but a huge blunt, ~4k @ Alexa, this is why I thought maybe someone knows the owner or he hangs out here...

I asked MojoHost to block these countries plus China/Brazil but these blocks caused my server to become unreliable and after several meltdowns we decided to remove the block. Instead of a list of countries to block they asked me to provide a list of countries which are allowed... As that could be shorter... If anyone has a list I need for this project please send me asap... Yes, this list starts with US/CA/UK...

All you had to do was add 5 lines of text to your .htaccess and redirect it either to a Hosted TGP or one of the many companies that buy traffic.

That way you could had turned the free massive traffic in to instant cash.

Instead you closed down a traffic source

I understand what you say, but you know I just want to do my work and finish my projects and live my life and don't want to waste time for issues like this and find out something how can I get any money out of the situation.

The owner of this site made me extra expense because of the bandwidth his visitors burned during weeks/months of usage, my recently my server became unreliable because of not wanted traffic [i spend valuable hours to get these resolved...] and made me unhappy and be able to work less on my important, honest money making projects and daily tasks.

While reading/searching the boards in this year I've seen similar situations and none of the webmasters were happy about this. I consider this a theft because of what I already wrote before: tgp owner haven't contacted me to ask for my galleries if I agree or not that he'll use 'em. The cause of this is that he knows his traffic very well and knows that I will barely make any sales with his traffic, but I will have a huge hosting bill. I didnt have the chance to decide if I want this or not.

Haha! Don't think that my traffic is high because of this shit. Absolutely not My traffic and biz is constantly growing because of my hard work. I didn't notice in time that with the "natural" grow of my traffic included some hotlinking and this kind of unauthorized bw usage as well.

And now the conclusions after some days:

To be honest, I was not prepared for this situation. I had no clue what to do in a case like this, and thanks for all who posted some ideas how a traffic source like this can be used, I learned a lot and will definitely use a suggestion posted above next time this occurs. Maybe I am not a smart webmaster, but you know: I didn't need any special knowledge about traffic simply because I have almost zero traffic of mine: 99% of my traffic is from other TGPs where my galleries are posted. I only use my own natural 404 traffic to feed a TGP of mine...

I tell you why I think none of the solutions above can make my money back: lets say I redirect the traffic immediately when I notice to spanish AFF or any good, probably converting place: what do you think, for how long I will have this traffic? Max some days... Site owners are warned my surfers or they notice themselves in some hours/days when they are hunting my newer galleries (with all the other wm's stuff) and they remove all my shit thus the good and probably converting traffic is gone. So my traffic was leached for weeks/months and I could use it to make a little money back for some hours, max some days... I doubt this is good biz...

I don't refuse to learn from people who are smarter than me so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this one or any other part, but please be a little more polite as maybe I am a noob or stupid but I am "benevolent". I treat everyone the same way I want them to treat me. You can ask anybody I made business with that I was never rude to anyone and I expect the same, even on GFY [maybe I am naive...]
