Go get them Tam :)

Been a tradition in my family and extended family all my life to put the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving. That day is usually shopping in the morning and all day long, and tree trimming at night.
I'm not so picky though. For me, whenever the heck I rearrange the living room is when I drag the tree up from the basement.

Good for you!!!
Congrats!!!

....

Do people just totally ignore the holiday that started this country*? Every year, christmas shit gets put out earlier and earlier, they totally bypassed thanksgiving stuff, went straight from halloween to christmas... next thing you know it, people will be putting christmas shit away, putting up new years stuff, then after the new year, putting christmas shit back up...

edit

*By this country, I mean USA

Tam - you sound like me! I'm pretty stubborn but I always get there in the end. Not a bad trait to have as it makes you more productive. :thumbsup Good luck decorating!

OH no, I most certainly do NOT. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays... always has been. I put more of MYSELF into that one than I do any of the others. I cook everything myself, ALL by myself for days and days on end... and I won't let anyone do anything BUT relax and enjoy our time together. NO one works, no one fights, no one spends the day on computers and phones. It is the ONE day of the year I don't allow anyone to do anything that isn't FAMILY involved. :)

and brassmonkey. don't sweat that. I live in a trailer and I am quite proud of it. When everything crashes around us, with the economic thing, I'll STILL have my home... I don't live beyond MY means..... lmao
