    Just bought a plan ticket tonight... 3 pre-checked x-sales

    They had a cross sale for a rental car, a hotel and travel insurance!!! Wow!

    Of course I have eyes and unchecked them all. Though I'm sure the same idiots who can't ready a porn join page will also end up with a car a hotel and rental insurance when he books his next flight.

                                                              nope same godaddy i have been hit with multiple cross-sales with them also. They aren't "pre-checked" though , they have those intersitials that ask you to add all sorts of products, pretty annoying really. i would almost rather they had 5 or 6 prechecked cross-sales but on one page

                                                                  But, like you said they are NOT pre-checked, like some people are saying they are.

                                                                  And I'd also love to know what travel site has pre-checked, for some reason he won't name it, probably cuz it does not exist.

The charges are also very clear at the end, and there is a link to remove any product that the customer doesn't want in the final list of charges.

                                                                                              yep, like i've been telling everyone, travel insurance is a huge one, almost always prechecked on many travel sites... GoDaddy has prechecks too

                                                                                              Also, how about "Apple's placement of the Safari update next to an iTunes update with a check box pre-checked, and then offering up both a Safari download as well as as the iTunes update as a single, clickable install.

                                                                                              But... for some reason, people still buy airline tickets from travel sites, domains from GoDaddy, and install Apple software.... ;)

But, the difference is they are listed in the total due summary and you can easily uncheck them directly to the right of that, way way way before you even get to where you enter the billing information.

And the difference actually is that the pre-checks are above the credit card information, have the price CLEARLY listed in bold red with a lot of space around it so it's very hard to miss, and it's not in some smaller font, hidden below the submit button.

And the difference actually is that the pre-checks are above the credit card information, have the price CLEARLY listed in bold red with a lot of space around it so it's very hard to miss, and it's not in some smaller font, hidden below the submit button.
