DMCA Question

In regards to the actual law, and not the policy of internet services providers, is there a maximum number of dmca violations a specific website can receive before their existence as a whole is declared to be a liability worthy of complete termination? Meaning, if a website receives 50+ different complaints in a given month, can that website be permanently declared a legal liability to the company whose copyright content is being distributed, and after that, is the website required to be shut down?

There is no set number. A host will lose their protection from liability as a service provider if they knowingly allow continued infringement.

Each service provider makes their own decision on when to pull the plug.

You Tube would have been shut down a long time ago if that was the case.

If you really want DMCA protection make sure you register with the Copyright Office as an ISP. Registration cost $80 and it is necessary.
