what to tell family member who wants to do what i do - GoFuckYourself.com

Help, I have a family member who wants me to teach them making online money etc....
he is younger than me and looking to me for guidance i guess because he knows i work at home... he says he wants to be self employed as well and doesn't want to work for anyone. He has no idea I sell porn. He has no idea what i do at all, he just says that he wants to learn from me because he doesn't want to work for someone else.

No one in my family knows i market porn and I am going to keep it that way because I don't want any of them knowing my business or life. I am not too close with my family but when I do see them I usually make something up, I don't know if it was convincing enough but I'm just vague and say "internet marketing" or something, I have a feeling they are suspicious of me and wonder what I REALLY do... but that's not the point.

My objective: I don't want to teach this person what I do but how should I word it nicely without hurting their feelings? usually if it were anyone else I would say something obnoxious like "why would i teach you anything and have you compete against me" sort of thing, but I actually want to be nice and I can't say that to this person.

Also, this person just received a degree and I feel like they should use it... It would be a waste not too and it would be better for them to get real world experience in the field they chose. I don't have a degree. I am just lucky that I started way back earlier when it was a bit easier.

Also, I could use the excuse that it's too detailed oriented and that I wouldn't be able to teach someone unless they where with me all the time.... What if the person will then say "ooh I can come over and stay with you while you show me" etc

I need diplomatic tactics for dealing with this without having it backfire in my face.

Hand them three or four large, and BORING as hell, computer and marketing books to read. Tell them you can't do anything for them or with them until they have at least a basic understanding of the internet and marketing techniques.

If they actually get through it, it'll have given you a couple of months to come up with a new excuse, or hell, they may even be able to teach you a few new things.

Tell them to start doing some research themselves before you waste your time and see what he comes up with. What someone says and what they are prepared to do are often two completely different things.
