Robbie great post but I do have to disagree with one point. There IS a way to stream HD and there is a way to view it on your computer but it requires an external device such as the VUDU set top box full HD 1080p- although you saw really nice non pixelated video it was not true HD - :2 cents:

sorry now back to the topic at hand

That's pretty cool! But not something that will affect our business very much. Having said that...I'd like to get one. :pimp But does anybody stream real HD?

edit: just an observation, i'm done wasting my time with this sort of thing.

Link to the site for the content appears after the video ends with a Watch full vid now.

Looks slick but its just a mgp using a cdn network, and a nice layout. I see nothing wrong with it. Clips are all smaller size that I saw.

HD tube sites would be kinda cool

I'm pretty sure if I'm following HD spec, it's HD.

And yes, it's being delivered "over the web". But tell me, what do you think it takes? I don't think the feat is very miraculous, frankly.

Yup I am streaming 720p with no problem, but yes the end user can't have a crappy computer or connection. But seriously if you want to watch HD tv at home in your living room do you plop down a 25" SD tube style TV? Nope you have to plunk down some coin to enjoy that quality.

Computers are the same way. If you don't have the equipment you won't get the quality. When marketing an HD site you are marketing to people that can handle HD. Now as a secondary for our HD sites we stream 480p too which is also technically HD. Its a lot easier to view and less cpu cycles being at 854 x 480. Which isn't a ton larger than SD DVD quality.

But yes you CAN stream 720p at 1280x720.

That layout is crap. Totally out of touch with the direction a tube site should be going. Clean and fresh is what you want with a tube site, not that trainwreck.

Thats isn't a tube site. Its an streaming mgp.

Btw its pretty slick that the ads that come up after the movie finish are geoip right in the space of the player.

collegeboobies 11-13-2008 07:14 PM

sounds awesome

most people's computers as Robbie says can't even play a real HD video file - and with the economy the way it is people aren't going to be buying new computers for awhile.

there isn't even any demand for HD porn - porn fans could care less if something is shot in HD or SD - they can't tell the difference. Shoot in 16:9, encode at 2mbps and tell them it's HD - no .01% will have a clue that isn't 'HD'.

i found it too much visually watching the action with all those pics around it.
