Well he sure is one of the greatest actors of the generation that is say below 50.

The point I was trying to make is that Pitt, if we would talk about real film roles (ex. California, Seven, 12 monkeys..), is a very decent actor, but obviously suffering from the Robert Redford syndroma as there will always be ten times more people remembering his face over anything he is able to show on the silver screen.
