I'm curious who here is NOT promoting cams?

If you're not promoting live cams you are leaving money on the table. I had a live cam surfer retain for 14+ months at one point. He came back month after month speading the same amount of time with this one cam model. He would eventually move onto another girl in the network. But it was the easiest money maker for me. I literally made more money from that one hit then any other hit I have ever sent to anyone else.

So tell me, why aren't you promoting cams again?

Whew, glad I'm not the only one who dislikes that phrase. A former webhost we used awhile back said that often - always thought it sounded like cheap used-car salesman rhetoric.

I would if anyone let me actually target toward the sorts of girls my surfers like i.e. goth/punk/tattooed/unusual. If I could link to specific girls, I'd put them in my cam portal, although it is teeny compared to what it once was because I could just never find a good cam sponsor.

But why anybody should support a small webcam community like we are????
Here are some thoughts about it. Believe me, it could bring you some money if you take the time to read it.

To promote cams is a different thing indeed!!! The strategy much more depends on the kind of traffic you have than with other sites, because the big business is about big whales.

There are two arguments you have to look at:
1. are you able to contact your traffic again ... so do you have their email addresses or do you run a community?
2. is it porn traffic or not?

1- yes + 2- yes
These users mostly do not come to the internet for the first time. They have visited many sites before. Probably you have many small fish and some nice big whales among them. The problem is, they already have accounts with many of the interesting webcam communities. So neither the revshare nor the PPS will bring you any results. But some webcam sites invented the perfect solution for this kind of traffic. Visitors over there, do not belong to one webmaster, but they only belong to them for a certain period of time. After that time, either the webcam company does not pay anything to the affiliate any more (which is good for the company but bad for the affiliate) or the visitor can be referred again by another affiliate. So every affiliate has a new chance on this big whale.
Even I don’t consider this procedure as really fair towards the affiliates, it is a fact and if your traffic comes from the category stated above, you will be able to send your traffic there again and again, because you know your visitors personally. This way you can make use of your big whales, which you cannot on other revshare sites as the whales are registered already with them.

1- no + 2- yes
These users are the same as the ones above, you just don’t have any personal information about them. So you probably can only send them away once. If you use the same strategy as mentioned above, you get only paid for a few weeks and afterwards the company keeps all the profits and you won´t get a cent. And believe me the profits from the big whales can be enormous. That’s why the company above is so successful, because many webmaster don’t understand the principle. At the same time many of your users are already registered with most of the other webcam communities as well. So you won´t neither earn revshare nor PPS from them. The solution is, to send them to rather NEW webcam communities like http://www.cupidocam.com (We are relieably serving the porn market for nearly 10 years). Even the visitors won´t find so much performers online there, they will want to try something new and find performers they did not find somewhere else. From past experiences I can tell you, if it is not that crowded, it´s much easier to fall in love with somebody. And that is what you want the whale to do, because than you will earn the big money. So send your anonymous traffic to this webcam community and earn big money with whales that have tried all other webcam sites and so won´t bring you money there.

1 – no + 2 no
This traffic is difficult to judge. One this is clear, you can only send it away once. So do not apply the first strategy. You need to test it yourself. First go for revshare programs like e.g. http://www.cupidocam.com this one. If you realize that the traffic does not bring many whales but only small fish, just switch the program to a PPS and earn much more money with that. But please do not expect to catch a whale in a week. You should give that try at least half a year.

1 - yes + 2- no
Here you can apply the same strategy as in the last group. But you have a second chance. First try a plain revshare program like http://www.cupidocam.com. If you realize that your traffic does not bring whales, you can use the same traffic / users and send them to another webcam community and use the PPS program there. You know you will not loose something as they are mostly small fishs but you still get the high PPS profit.

If you mainly have business traffic, you should try http://www.cupidocam.com as well, because we pay up to 30% for webmaster referrals.

Agreed. All it does for me is show that the person who says it doesn't know anything about my business or theirs.
