How can any sane person want Sarah Palin as a leader of anything? Goes beyond me. And people do not believe that mass hypnosis exists.

Poll: Republicans want Palin in 2012

When asked to select the top Republicans of their choice for the party's next presidential nomination, 64 percent say Palin, according to a new nation-wide Rasmussen Reports telephone survey.

Various news reports swirling in the media suggest that Palin had been preparing for the next White House race even before Democratic candidate Barack Obama's landslide victory in the presidential election on Tuesday.

"She's no longer playing for 2008, she's playing 2012," Democratic pollster Peter Hart said earlier.

Some 12% of the respondents to the poll supported Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 11% backing Mitt Romney of Massachusetts for the 2012 vote.

Three other sitting governors -- Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota -- all receive low single-digit support.

Presidents have never been the smartest people in the country, some may have thought it but actually were... doubtful. We have had a few major exceptions where we did end up with someone very smart. It just has never been the norm for us and I can not think it applies to other leaders either in other countries.

If you look at what McCain has done in his political career, it's a lot better then Bush. If you look at their lifes, it's very similar. So voting for McCain alone isn't that bad if you beleive in what he beleives... he's got a good record. Think of them as professional actors, they have no 'real' power to change but are controlled like a director controls the making of a movie. If the director wants them to act stupid, they will and vice versa for smart. Whatever suits the situation at hand. None of them are stupid, quite the opposite.

If you look at the situation now, where people blame Bush for the problems in the world and see Obama as a saviour, it is clearly identifiable as designed if you apply a simple technique template on it.
