I don't want to sound blunt, but I bet Google is tightening their AdSense system to minimize wasted expenditures and maximize ROI they spend on advertising

This will make it harder to make money with mainstream blogs.

Adsense is a joke. they start out with a bait and switch approach. Pay you a great rate at first then lower the payout accordingly.

Yup, but they still pay better than most... if u find an alternative that pays more, please let me know ;)

they have a tremendous amount of people out there FUCKING them over constantly

if they save even 5% using this new system....they can at least cover their fraud losses

I've seen some real shady adsense users in this biz.....i personally don't use adsense

of course man.....they've gotten millions of people to base their entire business model on them......now they can cut your throats since they got ya hooked

no... they start out paying based on the ads that are triggered... then evaluate your traffic and pay you what its worth and what people are willing to pay for it. just as yahoo does.

its not a conspiracy... just like with yahoos traffic quality scores... its a simple formula.

this attitude about google ripping people off with adsense always perplexes me. the idea that their long term business model is just to cheat you as if no alternative exists.

the fact of the matter is that there are multiple parties involved in the transaction and everyone is focused on "whats in it for me" rather than "what am i offering". just because you have clicks... doesn't mean they have significant value, are targeted, are attractive to advertisers etc.

Same here. From the sound of it, seems like they will be using more of the behavioral data they have and not simply base everything categorically or on keywords.
