They even take better care of their old and sick. So there you are .. you think you are aheah, but in reality you are 20 years behind nations like Pakistan. Congrats to the winners

Well when Pakistan has over 8% of the population enjoying indoor plumbing, give me a call and we'll talk about how progressive they are. :1orglaugh

Is that why when someone in Pakistan gets a PHD they come to America? Because America is such a backward shithole?

Don't hate :)

Probably the same day that Russians will stop priding themselves with having a great educational system, Romanians will stop claiming rights to inventions they never made, Serbs will stop claiming that Walt Disney stole the idea of one countryman of theirs and so on.

National pride is needed, even if it sometimes tends to be somewhat obnoxious.

Correct and I wish my country had a bit more of it. However, in the case of the US it seems more an evidence of feeling inferior :2 cents:

I dont know what you call it in english. But im speaking about The Gold Confiscation in 1933 where Roosevelt orded the people to turn in the gold to the federal reserve. And in exchange they got a stack of worthless papers. Well - wasent 100% worthless at that time, that was only later when they removed the legal tender.

Unfortunately Obama can not do anything regarding the crysys we are in now, however good a president he is. And to all the US patriots: YOUR COUNTRY IS A SHITHOLE THAT IS GOING KAPUT!!!
The good times are gone and never to come back, you better get used to that.

This is not the fault of the individual people on this board or that are hardworking, but of the leaders that allowed people to borrow more above their means, and now they have to pay the money back.

In America, every child born into any social or economic class feels they have a shot to be whatever they want. In fact, children are EXPTECTED to do better than their parents and rise above the circumstances they were born into. Some other countries have this belief, but nowhere else is it such a part of the culture as it is in America. Think about it, our favorite stories are the ones where someone comes from the lowest of classes to rise above and become a huge success. We actually discount stories of people being born into upper class who achieve success.

That's what makes America the center of innovation in technology, culture, and business and will continue to do so.

Barack Obama doesn't need to save the country, the American people can do all the heavy lifting. All he has to do is create an environment where Americans can succeed and the people will do the rest.

Well said. :thumbsup

Well, I'm not bashing, but stating some facts. I love the USA :)

I think its the people who define the country, not the president. Things will be fixed, but most importantly, regarding Bush administration; I hope the people learned something... and use it - not just voting against it.

Indeed. As someone who is from the US and is familiar with its almost inconceivable level of wealth and who now lives in an Eastern European backwater quite similar to Romania, it is very hard for me to take seriously inbred peasants living in villages with dirt roads and no plumbing telling me what a miserable shithole the US is.

If any of these peasants had ever seen the level of wealth that is commonplace in the US they could never see their miserable lives lived in the same crowded, crumbling Soviet apartment block with no hot water and intermittent electricity the same way.

But of course most of the inbred peasants running their mouth from Eastern Europe have never traveled past the village liquor store for their daily vodka fix so they have absolutely no idea how ridiculous their provincial little minds and illiterate rantings truly are. :winkwink:

Actually, the internet was started as the ARPANET network in the U.S.

As for the boom in the internet/computer revolution, name all the companies that had a hand in that. Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, AMD, etc, etc. Those are US companies. American companies that take the smartest people from around the world and give them a chance to succeed.

I'm not saying "Americans" are the smartest, but America fosters more success than any other country.

But I'm done arguing. If you have a billion dollar idea, you are more than welcome to come to America and make it a reality. We'd love to have you.
