AMERICANS: I don't care who you vote for, JUST VOTE

You like to give democraty lessons to Cuba, Venezuela, china, middle east, etc...

    Practice what you preach.

Democraty is all about free expression of your opinion. Go vote. This way, whoever wins this election will be elected fairly through a democratic process ( not perfect democratic process, but still way better than in many other countries!).

People who have identified the whole system to be corrupt will not vote because it is useless. There in no freedom of choice with the current political system.

Your system is not better then any other country, it's still fascism but not out in the open, hidden behind the curtain.

Not to disagree with you Pat. Yes people need to get out and Vote. If you are of age and have the ability to get to the polls, no matter who or what you are going to vote for please vote.

With that said there are serious issues with the way voting is conducted in the US. Canada, western Europe and most of the 1st world democratic nations do a much better job than we do.

Most of them use a simple ballot and a number 2 pencil. They have the election results within hours of the polls closing. Voting machines have already proven to be flawed. They should be sent back and the money should be refunded to the government for them, until they work 100% correctly.

Election day needs to move to the weekend or today needs to be made a national holiday. You want to encourage people to vote, give them the fucking day off, or move the voting day to a day that we already do not work.

These are just a few simple solutions to the American voting process that I would love to see change. Maybe Obama will push for these types of things when he is President.

But if you do not vote, you have no right to complaint, no matter how corrupt the system is.

You all vote for fake puppets.

Keep in mind that the real control is in hands of people beyond these puppets, who are not obliged to keep their promises, who have no intention to make anything better for you people, who just go for their own goods, no matter if it costs wars, bankruptcies, misery of million others.

But if you say so, go and vote, go and put the tapes on your own mouths. Be the puppet of the puppets.

Actually we live in a Republic.. we just love to spread democracy to countries via dropping bombs.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

I agree some improvement should be made. i have never seen an 8 hours wait to vote here in Canada. And it's a pencil and we put our vote in the ballot.. We know the results 2 hours max after the polls close and no technological possibility to cheat the results. Our system is still not perfect, but it might be considered more efficient than what I've seen so far this morning in the US of A.
