So says Fox News based on incoming reports.

It is true, that you never know until Election Day. I agree with that. But 2008 is a lot different than 2004. There has been a major demographic shift in this country since 2004. Take the red state of Nevada for example. There is a huge population of Latinos who could not vote in 2004, but will be able to this year. It is clear that most of them are voting Blue. That is happening in other parts of the country too. Virginia, which has been a Red state since 1964, may very well turn Blue this year too. It is definitely looking in Obama's favor, but like you say... you just never know until Election Day. If all does go as they are reporting, it will be pretty damn amazing to see these decades old red states turning blue.

McCain's last sliver of hope is that the news media mentions this often all day, and makes it sounds as if Obama's victory is all but assured already...

Doing so could potentially persuade enough people, who are assuming Obama is going to win for sure, to not bother voting.

The odds of complacency among obama supporters causing enough of a sway for mccain to win the election is similar to multiple people being struck by lightening while simultaneously winning the lottery.

it aint gonna happen.
