Here's what bothers me , the dems want more taxes, to get that, they would have to regulate us, the GOP wants to regulate us, to do so would require more money, which they would get thru more taxes, doesn't matter how much you're making, this would effect all of us!

I would rather have taxes, better than going to jail and come out only to be on a sex offender list. Also things that are taxed go into black and white and out of gray.Once you have a tax your legitimate no grey bullshit we dont arrested things that are taxed.

also John Mccain's good family friend Charles Keating tried to put larry flynt away for life and was on Nixon's antiporn council. Keatings law firm gave 50 grand to mccain for president. To call it "regulation" is kind of silly. Two more conservatives on the court means that porn is not at all protected under the first amendment. That we don't even have the Miller Test to fall back on. It means opposition to broader 2257 regulations and other things would be frivolous. With a Supreme Court justice being appointed for life, we would probably not see a reversal on that until we reach old age. I consider that much harder to fight.

I'm opposed to higher taxation, but it's something I can live with. It doesn't put me out of business completely. And I also realize that someone at some point has to pay for all the spending the Republicans have had over the years.

The polls have been wrong so many times, they are not accurate at all. First, you have no idea who they are talking to (have you ever been polled...not that kind you pervert) :winkwink:

Remember, the media called 2000 early on for Gore, the media predicted a Kerry win in 2004, Carter was supposed to beat Reagan and of course the infamous DEWEY WINS.

Lets not forget that John McCain sponsored legislation that would have essentially put most social networking sites out of business, perhaps even this forum. He has also sponsored legislation that could make someone caught with public nudity charges banned from the net.

His ignorance in the net should scare those who make their living on it. There is a reason why every major web property is heavily supporting Obama.

Proposals are proposed and shot down all day long, every day. I wouldn't vote against a party just because of one bad proposal that was utlimately not even implemented.


I will say though that the $250,000 threshold does indeed hurt some people making under that figure. For instance, if someone had wealthy parents they may worry about Obama increasing the death tax or capitol gains. This may have an effect on their inheritance.

But the popular vote isn't what really matters. Take a look at polls by state and how the resulting electoral votes fall. Even the most Republican favorable electoral polls show Obama with well over the 270 electoral votes required to win.

I have a very close friend whose father is on the mid-top ranks on the McCain campaign. He said that their latest internal numbers, which of course won't release to the media, put Obama at 58%.
