Who said anything about liking you or not. We have different opinions on some things. You act like I have been trolling you or something which I have not. Last time you said something along those lines in a different thread, like I was trying to pick a fight or something (child drop off one I think).

Just asked what board. Figured you would just drop an email with the link or whatever.

tony404 & asm -- will you two stop bitching with each other.

You're missing the point.
We've got a dude with 100K+ GFY posts saying he's voting for someone.
The question that remains: which candidate gets the emu and which one the party goat? Or some shit like that....

McCain cant win without Virginia and he isnt going to win it. Election night will finish pretty early once Virginia is called for Obama

Actually you have a guy that everybody beleives in, that can restore confidence (locally and internationally). A once in a generation thing.

On the other side you have the guy that had the shadiest campaing practices since Rover.

Obama didn't come out of nowhere - you don't win a Senate seat in an important state like Illinois coming out of nowhere, he's spent 25 years achieving and doing. The President should have two things 1)intelligence and reason 2)leadership skills - Obama's been a leader for his entire adult life and nobody questions his intelligence.

I don't think John McCain is a horrible choice - I think Obama is a better choice, the symbolism is important, to Americans and probably moreso to the rest of the world - I do understand why a right wing conservative would fear him, they would fear anybody the Democrats nominated. If they fear him any more than any other Democrat then it's one or both of two things- 1) they fear he actually could be everything his most ardent fans think he is which will change the landscape of politics for a long while 2) he's a Negro

Juicy you live in NY state - if you hated taxes so much you'd have moved long ago.

If you're in a state that you KNOW is going to a specific candiate and you don't really like either of them cast a protest vote.

And McCain who up until he ran for the GOP nomination was hated by most of the conservative wing of the GOP which is 90% of the GOP as being too liberall all of a sudden is a conservative? He isn't saying what he needs to say to get elected? He was against the Bush tax cuts and drilling for oil of the coast until it was what the neo-cons wanted and expect of their nominee. Now he's for them? Hmmmm. McCain is either a LIAR or a flip flopper like his buddy Kerry.

You're putting words in her mouth. She says that if Obama is president she "won't have to worry about putting gas in my car, I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage. If I help him he's gonna help me." How do you interpret that as "anything is NOW possible as Obama has proven"?

And if that is what she's saying doesn't that prove that the "white man be holdin' us down and shit" song and dance that we've been listening to for years is complete bullshit? An Obama presidency would prove that no matter what your race, if you work hard and make the right choices you can achive anything in this country.

In a sick way I hope McCain wins because when his presidency fails like Bush's has as a CORRECTLY predicted 8 fucking years ago I can laugh in your face. Some people never learn. If MCCain wins say hello to Predient Hillary in Jan 2013. I'm 100% sure that's what you want, but that's what you'll get if McCain wins. Some people are too stupid to see the BIG picture.

As a typical old white male Republican I will go on record as saying that I would crawl on my knees through a swamp to vote for Hillary Clinton over Obama. Clinton may be a soulless opportunist who would sell her first born for power, but at least she is not a hardcore leftist radical who pals around with William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. I would be happy to pull the lever for George McGovern over Obama. Obama is the most dangerously radical candidate any major party has nominated in recent history. His election would fundamentally change the character of the United States (which would please many people here I am sure).

Yea it is amazing since I live in Europe and have not seen Fox News in any format for years. You can disagree with my viewpoint but that does not make me a simpleton. Obama has a consistent pattern of radical associations and activism that go back 20 years. Perhaps he is merely an opportunist and will govern from the center according to the polls Clinton style but I personally do not want to take the chance.

PurrrsianPussyKat 11-02-2008 12:10 PM

Please. Serving on a committee with a well respected professor is totally different than helping him plant bombs, don't cha think? You betcha! *wink*

Maybe you should research the people that mccain "pals around with".

PurrrsianPussyKat 11-02-2008 12:11 PM

On a side note. I love how many foreigners interject their opinions in our politics.

If you don't live in America, no one cares what you think. So shut it.

I am a US citizen with a right to vote just like you. I pay US taxes. Pretty sure I have my right to an opinion. Obama's past associations may not trouble you. I respect that opinion, I just happen to disagree. It is still OK to have a different viewpoint from the majority...... right? Or does my refusal to submit to the prevailing groupthink make me a simpleton and a Fox brainwashed sheeple unworthy of having an opinion?

Perhaps freedom of speech and association are outmoded concepts and everyone just needs to get with the program. Perhaps people who insist on having incorrect viewpoints need be "eliminated" like William Ayers says. Perhaps the "pigs" deserve what they get. In the words of Bernardine Dohrn (Ayers' wife) in response to the Manson family killings..... "Dig it! First they killed those pigs and then they put a fork in their bellies. Wild!" :upsidedow

You are entitled to your opinions, but maybe go research the facts before you make up your mind. When william ayers was setting off bombs, Obama was 8 yrs old. I highly doubt they were hitting the bar for a few beers together.

If you want to talk about palling around with domestic terrorists, how about the fact that mccain was endorsed by g gordon liddy, had a fund raiser in his living room, etc etc.. oh that's right. Mccain is the republican candidate so somehow he's exempt.

Sarah palin's husband was part of a separatist group in alaska. Founded by a guy who said the fires in hell don't burn strong enough to compare for his hate for america, and good ol' sarah told them she shared their views and that they were doing a great job. Can't call her on that because.. oh yeah.. republican again.

Lets go on a $150k shopping spree and then proclaim we are the party for the little guy.

The hypocrisy astounds me.
