Most religions adapt the message to suit the people they are trying to convert into followers (read slaves) so they can make money. It still happens with the Mormons canvassing for converts. They lie through their teeth to tell you they are the ones who have it right.

All religions lie to make money. From the icons that were built, found or invented so followers would come and pay money, to the Christian channels on the TV that ask for money.

You are a bit off here... Islam actually had it's roots somewhat close to christianity, and both the Islamic faith (the Koran) and the Bible's Christianity view Abraham as their founding fathers....

Btw, not really sure how this is really any different than Christians burning witches alive because they used a few herbs.. this isn't about god, it's about power and control and nothing more or less. You don't have to be religious to be an extremist, it just makes a damn good excuse to be one.
