keep your graphic on layer one, remove the background layer. when saving for web, make sure you have the transparency set.

When you create the image canvas in the first place it gives you the options to

WHITE

BG color

or transparent

Make your images and when you "save for web" make sure you have the hex color of the bg you are ready to save it for and do so. Also make sure the file format is set to gif, transparent and then work it from there.

or this. I change the matte color at the end but maybe Im doing something wrong. Learn something new everyday as a self taught douche.

everything i do is self taught, and rarely the correct way to do things. but fuck correct as long as it works.
