I think that if the tanline isn't too many shades different than the rest of the body, it can look hot, but if you have a girl that's tanned dark brown and has them, then I don't care for them.

If they are very light then it's not so bad, but I hate seeing real dark tanned chicks with white ass tan lines as the ones above. I like a nice smooth look.

totally agree with many of the previous posts... lighter tanlines that blend nicely are sexy as hell. Super contrasty (dark skin and very light covered-up parts) are not so good.

I agree with the pictures above

One thing I really don't like is bad tan lines that show when wearing normal clothes.
Used to see them all the time during spring break. Once I photographed a wedding and the bride had laid out
in a halter style bikini top the day before and then she wore a strapless wedding gown
