    Mac people..

Ok so I have my iMac that I use for a non webmaster related project but use my PC the majority of the time, so I don't know all the in's and outs of Mac's just yet.

Well iMac have that little webcam built in to the screen, being I'm a mac noob and I'm not up on security I stuck a little piece of tape over the camera because I don't use it and don't want some one spying on me..

Ok well I've noticed lately, that if my iMac has been in sleep mode a long time when I wake it up, I hear the webcam snapping a picture. I don't recall it doing this before, but maybe I just didn't notice it, but where the hell is it saving all these pictures it keeps taking?

webcams don't make a noise when they take a picture, they don't have a shutter.

On mac the default sound for when a picture is taken is a shutter.

Its never happened to me before, but im sure somewhere in your security settings you have an option box ticked off that shouldnt be.

That noise is not necessarily the webcam taking a pic. Can be a lot of different things.
