Polaroid, which officially stops manufacturing film today. For nearly 60 years, Dr. Land's invention revolutionized both professional and snapshot photography, and was a tool many photographers couldn't live without. But now it's time to say good-bye to Polaroid types 669, 667, 664, 690, and 600. While digital has replaced much of the need for instant film, there are still many out there who treasure their peel-apart instant film and are bracing for the end.

Even when we went digital, it was Stil easier to take a Polaroid of the model prior to a shoot just to show our boss, as to who was in the studio. I believe sometime at the end of 2007 we finally stopes useing our Polaroid camera and began to take a digital photo download that one image and send it via e-mail.

Good riddance. It was terrible film, if it was too hot, cold, old or what ever it always played up. Never liked it and the professional cameras were a nightmare and the backs for the medium format were not a great solution.

I sold most of my film cameras last year. The shop did take the Polaroid one though.

Scanning and shredding my old slides. Heart breaking buy no one buys film today in this market.
