It'll be hard, but stay strong man, don't let it ruin your life. Give it a month at least then you'll notice, you are no longer thinking about a coffee + cigarette combination
Congrats Roald. Been there. I can tell you the toughest days are already behind. If you succeed the first 2 weeks, you're good to go but don't cheat because it's back to square 1.
It's a hell of a some thing to break.
Listen to that Alan Carr explain that the withdrawl is only horrible because we think ourselves into believing that it is. IN REALITY the "withdrawl" is NOT THAT UNPLEASENT. Avoid the PANIC feeling and you are fine. "CRAVES" only last THREE MINUTES.
http://www.e-cig.com/
This is called the e-cig.. it is not a combustion or tobacco product.
It's a mini cigarette shaped vaporizer which gives you nicotine without tar, 1000 chemicals, lung cancer, etc. It eliminates 95% of the risk and it is a MUCH MUCH smoother smoking experience. It doesn't leave any smoke smell, you can smoke it in your office if you want!!
Start with the cheap one at that URL
You'll never go back
Mine broke yesterday and I have been smoking a bit
I miss the e-cigarette like a motherfucker
The nicotine of course still will constrict blood vessles and all but 95% of everything else isn't in it. You can even buy 0mg cartridges.. so you can still smoke without ANY BAD EFFECTS PERIOD.
If you get one BUY A BOTTLE OF THE LIQUID.. the cartridges are stupid. Get the liquid and injector. BUY EXTRA ATOMIZERS. All in all it's inexpensive compared to smoking. It's smoother like I said and harmless to assholes around you.
PS: If you're ready to get away from tobacco for good.. you need THIS page http://whyquit.com/ cessation methods, stepping down, all of that is BULLSHIT. When you quit you QUIT. As someone said if you ever take ONE DRAG you will be back right where you were. People quit for years and then take ONE and go back.
When you don't smoke you can fuck harder, longer, with a harder dick, your heart can work, you don't have lung cancer (once it starts you are fucked! and who knows which next cigarette might do it!), you have less colds,
And the NUMBER ONE REASON is that SMOKING DOES NOT FEEL GOOD
I just recently had my 3 year no smoking anniversary.
The only advice I can offer you is to stay strong. If you really want to quit, you'll quit.
Also...don't think that just because you've gone X amount of time without one that youve got it beat, or that you can somehow "reward" yourself with one. It only takes one cigarette to put you right back into it.
Watch these two videos and I guarantee you you'll understand
Smoking NEVER "feels good" it causes CONSTANT WITHDRAWL with a halflife of 20 minutes.. so you only "feel good" because you're getting to feel like a nonsmoker feels all of the time. So that orgasmic wonderful feeling of having a cigarette when you "needed one" is just what nonsmokers feel 24 hours every day.
