My best two would probably have to be Floyd and Led Zep, but I was thinking today about the best British bands of the past 20-25 years and 4 really stood out for me. The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Massive Attack and Radiohead. And then this thread appears...

Ive always thought the us Brits did bands better than the States, but for solo stars the States wins hands down.
