I know damn well both sides have adjusted such over their terms. Does not make it right for either party. It has recently just been adjusted to the point that it is now a useless number all together, from a partially useless number. |

Of course, if he loses you will accuse the Republicans of stealing the election. You can't deny that. |

The top 1% in this country own 38% of our nation's wealth. The top 10% own 71%. The bottom 40% own less than 1% of our country's wealth. These figures were from 2001, and are undoubtedly more skewed now toward the top 1% and 10%, respectively. The top 10% own over 71% of the nation's wealth and paid 65% of the taxes. That's hardly a case of "making the rich pay more" Even though marginal rates are higher at the top, the wealthy in this country don't pay a disproportionate amount in taxes. The percentage of taxes they pay is in direct proportion (or less than direct proportion) to the percentage of wealth they hold. Even though the marginal rate on the top tax bracket is 3.5 times higher than the marginal rate on the bottom bracket, when you look at what is actually paid (after deductions, loopholes, shelters, etc etc) the wealthy, by and large, pay a smaller percentage of their overall income in taxes than do the middle and lower classes, who don't have the resources to hire attorneys and accountants to get them out of their tax obligations. Even if that weren't the case, I think it's laughable that people clearing over 250K per year are boo-hooing about paying another 4 cents on the dollar so that we can fix the health care system and pay down our $10 trillion debt, among other things. |
yeah right

The deal with the Obama core is that they'll tell pollsters "YES! I'm gonna vote for Obama!!!" when they get called on these phone surveys, but being a bunch of slackers, they won't actually bother to go out and vote. They WILL however bother to burn down the Wal-Mart and grab a new TV on the way out "as a protest against the Republicans stealing the election." We have an old expression in motorsports: "you don't race a dyno" This won't be over on election day :2 cents: |
I'm so tired of hearing about all this

This end of the porn industry lives off people earning low wages. The vast majority of the people who sign up are on less than $50,000 a year. So putting more money in their pockets brings more money to your pockets.
This was told to me by a porn multi millionaire, in British pounds not US dollars. A man like me takes a girl to the Bahamas for a week to fuck her. A multi millionaire takes her to Paris. A millionaire takes her to the Savoy. A person on half that takes her to his flat. A guy on $25,000 buys my mags with your porn pictures in. Think about that. The more the low paid have the more they have to spend on porn. The more the high paid have to spend the more they can spend on expensive hookers. It's the trickle up effect working well. |
If the election were like this
Candidates for Prez and VP A) Republican: President Adolph Hilter VP Joseph Stalin B) Democrat: President God VP Jesus Christ Sticky and his ilk would choose A no doubt just beause of the R next to their names. And that's just sad. |
