MLB has decided to push back the start of the world series game 20 minutes so that Obama can by his 30 min infomercial on Fox that night.

I am sure Fox put in the request to MLB to try and get the extra $1 million fee but MLB had to give approval to push the game back.

I think it might be more of a PR issue. Imagine the headline.

"Fox refuses to air Obama commercial"

Plus, they already sold the ad spots for the game, might well grab another $700K for free from Obama.

ABC still has refused to air his 30 min. My issue isn't with him buying the time, good on him for having the cash to do it. My issue is having baseball bend over backwards to accommodate him for it. And tonight for instance they are broadcasting the game instead of the debate.

I've honestly googled my ass off and I can't find any information on ABC "refusing" to run the commercial.
All of the stuff I see is that he bought on NBC and CBS first, and just now secured the spot on Fox because they had to get approval from baseball. If you can point me to the source that says ABC is refusing, I'd appreciate it.

Yeah I would be. Anytime you bendover to assist only one party I think its bs. If they thought it was that important then they should have also schedule tonights baseball game around the debate as well since they knew well in advance of the debate being scheduled.

Its a minor issue but I still think MLB made a mistake. Makes it seem they wanted to ensure that every American sees Obama and not have to make a choice between the game and the infomercial.
