Is anyone else a huge Troma fan? I love their movies. Ultra cheesy, unapologetically gory and over the top... My favorite Troma flick is Tromeo and Juliet http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114733/ but of course Toxic Avenger is at the top of the list too http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090190/

I'm a huge B movie fan. I watch more than a healthy amount of shit movies constantly.
But I still hate the fuck out of Troma. Except for the NAME of the film "Fat Guy Goes Nutzoid", that's classic.

Anyone ever read Lloyd's books? "Everything I Know About Filmmaking I Learned From The Toxic Avenger" and "Make Your Own Damn Movie: Secrets Of A Renegade Film Director"
I've read both of them multiple times....both informative (as far as independent filmmaking) and fucking hilarious. I've actually burst out laughing while reading them (causing my wife to wonder exactly what I was doing in the bathroom...) |

I bought a metric assload when they were giving the DVDs away for 25c back in like 2002.
They sent 10, kept the cash, and sent me a comic book instead of the other 20 I loaded. No, I didn't ask for my money back. I got Tromeo and Juliet, Surf Nazis Must Die, Redneck Zombies, and later, Cannibal: The Musical (By the South Park guys). I think my favorite is "Redneck Zombies", but I'm kind of warped.  Quote:
