What do we have to compromise? I'd say it's pretty easy kick the spend crazy Republicans out of office. While the Republicans love to cry about spend crazy Democrats it's seems they can't hide for history.

The simplest way to lower the National Debit, is to vote a Republican out of office. In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator. -

Yea it's quite amazing that people actually believe the BS about Democrats being spend crazy the Republicans love to spew. It quite simply just shows how stupid people are in this country.
The simple fact is since WW2 every single Democrat has lowered the National debit..It wasn't just Clinton it was all 6 Democratic presidents since then. However in that same time frame Every single Republican has raised the National Debit since WW2 with the exception of two Nixon and Eisenhower. The rest have all raised it while claiming to be conservative. In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

That is backwards trade debt, and I wish we would stop it. It also includes Corps and Gov Debt.
Simply put, we sell them a sheet of metal for $5, they make 1000 medical knives and we buy them back for 5 cents each. We take a loss. The Gov tries to make up the money by selling all types of this crap. When it can't over and over and over again, we get a 1.5t debt.
Then again, our Gov uses the American people, our tax, our lands, ect as collateral. Kinda f'ed to think, we owe these people 1.5 trillion of our own hard earned money, after we buy all that trash from them in the first place...

Japan ? Public Debt: 176.2% of GDP (2006 est.)
The mortgages have been taken out by US citizens, the credit cards are used by US citizens.
You are so hypocrite in here, it feels worse than sitting in a church in Alabama.
The blame on Republicans for 33 years of trade deficits, ah ah ah.
It was not any better under Clinton.
The President of the US is not a dictator, and the economy is not socialist but private and capitalist.

both political partys over spend. to blame it on one or the other completely avoids the issue. not to mention u.s. debt held by foreign investors has risen exponentially since the early 1980s and both parties have had their power trips between then and nowComment

And here in lies the problem with the entire western world ... its not YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ... we didn't work hard ... we didn't earn it ... we borrowed it, far beyond our means while inflating our ego's by 'helping' underdeveloped countries who we consider to have nothing, while we buy even more of their crap - and put it on the visa card! It's our desire for owning SHIT and believing that it makes us better than those who don't own SHIT that put us in this position. That is backwards trade debt, and I wish we would stop it. Isn't it funny that we see ourselves as wealthier than a country that we owe 1.5 TRILLION dollars to when most of us OWN less than the chinese rice farmer with 47 family members to feed?

so both political parties do not overspend?
blaming the 1+trillion$ debt on a single party doesn't avoid the issue of an overabundance of foreign held debt?
foreign held u.s. debt has not risen exponentially in the last 30 years?
both parties have not been in control of the executive branch or the legislative branch at one time or another during that time?
fyi, repulicans historically have spent ~20% more than democrats. THAT'S ALL.
20% less spending does not translate to a reasonable amount of debt held by china.
also, it implies that putting a democrat in charge will fix things.
news flash- it won't.Comment

It doesn't work that way. China is NEVER going to come over and say "pay up or else" to us. That's just not how it works and I'm too lazy to explain it to the dumb shits at GFY.NUR COOL UND GEILComment

Dont worry China is about to stop selling us their "crap". Then we will learn the real inflation rate.

We're just talking about treasury bonds. Is there any reason to be more upset about the $1.5 trillion in bonds that are being held by the Chinese government? I mean, if I purchase $1 million in 30 year bonds if that somehow less worrisome than if the Chinese government purchases $1million in US bonds?

How is it THEIR crap? For the most part what we have is American companies that build factories in China and then ship the products back to the US. In some cases American companies outsource various parts of the manufacturing process. However there aren't many Chinese companies selling goods to the US. it is American toymakers, athletic apparel and pharmaceutical companies with manufacturing presence in China. Apple makes iPods in China for example.
