coast guard helicopter rescue training in front of my place [pic]
uscg trains a lot out front here but they usually do this sort of stuff farther off coast, this time they are having swimmers swim out about 150 yards and get in the basket then jump out, kinda cool.

when i was a kid, they were filming the rumble in the bronx and i got to watch the hovercraft whip circles around the beach with a copter hovering above.. pretty cool
