spanish bank leaving adult

La C*aix-a, the adult spanish bank is now done with adult. They terminated some clients and are giving the rest time to transition to other banks, but they are officially out of adult.

pretty big news, this may have been what ron was talking about here

So I guess the big question becomes, which IPSP's processed with this bank?

I don't get why banks would step away from adult on times like this.

They don't need our money, is that it??

You are aware that fines from Visa and customer service hours spent dealing with pissed off customers can make what was a profitable sale something that costs them money.

pressure from Mastercard. they would rather let go of what amounts of 1-3% of their business than risk not being able to process mastercard or visa at all for their non-adult and brick and mortar business.

The word is that overly aggressive cross sales have forced them to pull some clients.

Furthemore, it was discovered that there were CCV2 codes being traded, which is undisputedly illegal.

Also, it looks as though the Visa card organization is coming down hard on a few other banks as well.

Deposits are safe. merchant division is a totally seperate division alltogether. Keep in mind guys this is not the only bank in Spain processing adult. There is also Caixa Catalunya as well as La Caixa

Should be interesting to see what Ron was referring to. I think there was another thread a week ago hinting at the same thing.

CommerceGate has solid banking relations and are following the laws of cross boarder violation, coding, chargeback thresholds and everything else that comes in to play protecting our client business and making that extra needed profit at the same time
