    What is PC's Garage Band?

What's the software that allows you to make music like in GarageBand, but it's for PC? Garage Band is for Mac right? Or am I wrong?

Either way.. here's is what I want, I want something that will allow me to make a score for an adult feature. I don't need rock songs or metal or even hiphop fuck songs for a tease, I need music to sort of set the mood thru out the film. Actually.. for future films. This current one is done, and I had a fun time blending together a shit load of royalty free music, but often times I felt I could make something a little more fitting on my own. Like.... I could hum the tune and I'm sure I could bang something out in a piece of software.

I have a creative keys keyboard, that has partial keyboard built into it, just never knew what software to use to make music.

Also, I just got a few large check$ come in at once and I'll be going AVID now. Anyone here ever use SmartSound SonicFire Pro It comes with Avid.

AVID, nice! I'm sure you will find what you need for the audio, with a nice setup like that.

    I have no idea though.

Sup Girlygirl. Yeah, I think it's time I up'd my game just a little. I just finished up on an adult feature, and it sort of took me back to my mainstream days for a while. I definitely put Vegas to the test and I can see how I'm going to quickly out grow it at this pace.

I went 23 tracks deep into that project. And felt like I hit a brick wall a few times. Some of the functionality (specifically the auto ripple) at 23 tracks doesn't work nearly as well as say a 3 track project. And I definitely want the ability to create music and add it with ease and tweak audio without having to render a wav files for every little fix.

I know a couple of guys who swear by Frootyloops. It's not a "Pro" solution, but neither is Garage Band.

          Spend you some brain.

FL studio (fruity loops) has actually really increased in quality over the last couple of releases. Ableton live is also a really nice program but the learning curve is a bit more advanced then fl or garage band.

I use Reason for creating music... bit of a learning curve, but if you want to get into beats Reason does just about everything.
