Is My Money Safe with Epassporte?

With all these banks closing on us, Im starting to get nervous. I know the bank Epassporte uses is outside of of the U.S.A but doesn't that also means its not insured? (FDIC)

Also, is money with Epassporte easily viewable and seizable by Uncle Sam? I know any bank in the USA they have instant access to but Im hoping that's not the same with Epass.

no money is safe anywhere right now, let alone in a payment service where people anonymously send each other money. i don't trust anyone, especially where we are right now with the financial crisis.

Accounts are not FDIC insured.

Are you trying to hide money from the US government? Most cases that is never ever a good idea and I would not be sure why anyone would think that such a company is off the US radar and also beyond their reach. Specially since they are sort of tied into on shore banks by doing ACH transactions.

Always presume it is if someone else has it.

I think taking all the money out of your epass account and buying gold bars is the way to go!

Well at least when they fold in USA banks you are insured. Im expecting several large payments from my affiliate via Epass, is there a way to withdraw more than the imposed 600 a day to your checking? like have a check mailed or something? I believe paypal has this option.

If they are not in the USA, they are not FDIC insured.

the way things are going, you want physical gold that you can lay your hands on, rather than numbers in a database somewhere.

No, it is not "safe". Not insured at all. If it's gone, it's gone. Hope that answers your question.

Epassporte has an F rating with the BBB and all one has to do is type in "epassporte fraud" to read story after story.

Your only real link to any customer service is Michael on the forums. If that gives you enough confidence to keep your hard earned money in a place you have no recourse then so be it. However, at any time, the US government could freeze all of epassporte' s bank accounts just for them allowing US citizens to do online gambling transactions through them. If you don't believe me, look at the history of Neteller and Firepay. Both had their assets seized by the US government for acting as a third party solution so US citizens to gamble. I know epassporte has stopped doing this but this doesnt mean they are free and clear of the ramifications.

My advice is to keep as LITTLE as possible on epassporte. I say this not because of the financial crisis in the US but because you have NO recourse whatsoever if they decide to close down. At least banks here are insured.
