*raises hand reluctantly* Not so much when he picked Palin, but he went back on his word to run a clean campaign and just seems to be doing a lot of talking out of both sides of his mouth through this whole process. Obama's simply run a much better campaign and while I'm not 100% confident he'll make things better, it's turning into another "pick the least worst candidate" vote that is becoming US tradition.

I was pretty torn until McCain picked Palin. I just can't support someone who has that little regard for our country that he'd pick someone who is clueless as his VP. I would have voted for him if he picked a guy like Hagel.

I was in the same boat. I was leaning for Obama but was open to McCain then he took Palin and that convinced me he not to vote for him. Not that it really mattered, i live in a very Obama state.

Im an independent, Republicans lost me with Bush and until I fear I'm not seeing anything different with McCain. To me, McCain showed bad judgement by picking Palin and didn't put 'country first' as he claims. It was clearly a political move. All experience about her aside because the same could be said about Obama, this is about knowledge, statesmanship and intelligence, which I think she completely lacks.

Palin seemed like a good choice at first, but definitely not lately. She did decent during the debate, but that's much to the credit of her handlers - she was doing a lot of reading off notes.

But what really turned me off of McCain is how he's conducted himself in the past two weeks ...

Saying the economy is sound, then saying it was in crisis, then saying he's suspending his campaign until the $700 billion bailout passed, canceling Letterman interview with the reason he was going to DC and yet was still in New York, then going on with campaigning / debating despite no bailout passing, etc.

In short, McCain has been very erratic - I'd hate to see him dealing with serious global issues, such as Iraq, North Korea, Russia, etc ... heck, he'd likely end up ordering one or more them to be nuked leading to retalation / instability, and possibly WWIII.

Ron

I don't see how anyone says she read during the debate if anything biden looked at his notes like 500 times more often then she did.
