    Dems wanted to hand Bush 100 BILLION $ he could do what he wanted with

    "Lawmakers voted down a plan that was different than what the Bush administration had originally proposed. There were restrictions allowing Congress to limit how much of the money goes out the door at once. It also included caps on pay packages of top executives as well as assurances that the government also would ultimately be reimbursed by the companies for any losses. The Treasury would have been permitted to spend $250 billion to buy banks' risky assets, giving them a much-needed necessary cash infusion.
    There also would be another $100 billion for use at president's discretion and a final $350 billion if Congress signs off on it."

                              Ok say Bush "is my guy" were the dems fooled into voting for the bail out that handed him and his friends 100 BILLION dollars? Like they were fooled into voting for the war in Iraq, fooled into voting for the Patriot act TWICE, fooled into voting on the FISA bill? Hell Bush even fooled Obama into voting all of that! And he would have been fooled into voting for this bill as well. Change we can believe in.

                                  The Dems are much much worse. The Democrats are institutionally corrupt, as was seen in the Clinton impeachment matter, and as is seen again in these bailouts.

                                  There are corrupt Republicans too, but as individuals, not en masse.
