BV you just named THE biggest of the bunch. Everything and everybody else is just an amateur.

The government has to be number one. Who else can take over half of my money (when you include fed, state, and sales taxes plus fees for licenses etc.) and give me NO choice but to hand it over to them. And then not answer to me about what they do with it. lol

Make a list of ethnic groups(*) that are extremely hated then see which business areas they dominate.

(*)Does not apply to African Americans.

It's not that I believe that discussions on business ethics in our industry is a bad thing. But I do find it ironic that we attempt to label businesses as morally or ethically wrong when we work in an industry where we have to fight powerful religous groups (at least here in the US) who try to eradicate our industry based on the same premise.

i know of a good non-shady biz thats fairly easy to start. They have these devices you can remotely disable cars with. What you do is find someone with bad credit and a fairly stable job who wants a nice car. You sell them the car on payments, with you on title. If they are late with payments you disable the car and pick it up until they have made the payments, pretty simple. Load the cars with insurance. keep buying more cars

Carbon Credits

Not just Shady, but really stupid. I have a big forest in my country, and, let's say, USA have a carbon production tax much higher the maximum rate.
The country comes to me, give me money for the carbon I spare, and it's all done right? If I "keep" something that spare carbon, than I'm saved from the global warming doom right?
-
Bullshit
Buying carbon credits in the nowhere land is something that will never save the planet, and this is done all the time now.

This is a really hi-class Shady green/eco business! ;)

NastyKing I think "Shady" is the wrong word here to describe Payday Loans...

It may be an ethical question for some, more so. The same can be said for Porn.

...And yes Payday Loans/Cash Advances are profitable! Especially in December :winkwink:
