Tomorrow is 3 weeks quitting smoking for me ... I started at 14 ... addicted at 16 and now I am 33. Cold turkey is the ONLY way to go ... you simply have to get the nicotine out of your body. All those patches, gum etc... you are still putting nicotine in your body.

The thing that pisses me off about quitting is that whenever you tell another smoker that you quit... they always says... "heh.. sure good luck with that..."

I quit about 28 hours ago, but my fiance broke down and bought a pack 3 hours ago. :(

in america it is very un-cool to smoke..this makes it a little easier as there is not so many cool people to hang out with and smoke (unless you are at an adult convention..)

in europe its still very much cool to smoke and people are smoking all around you, really made me want to smoke even tho i quit 2 or 3 years ago.

in the first 6 months it is really difficult, especially if you hang out with smokers..

i did it mostly cold turkey as well, BUT i still enjoy a good stogie every so often.
