Umm.... No the thought has never crossed my mind

Ever since the quake in 1989 I’ve had a camping backpack with things that would allow me to survive on my own, camping style, for 2-3 months. Clothes, tent, sleeping bag, important personal and bank documents, water purification tablets, dehydrated food packs, gun/ammo, solar powered radio, etc.

Larry Lee, you can come stay with me... i will protect you, and feed you, and LOVE you...

she can fetch us drinks and clean the toilets....

this reminds me that i have 5 flashlights and the batteries are dead in all of them. being prepared is always a good idea :thumbsup

i live in kind of a mall with a supermarket and 2 restaurants - as long this building stays intact i am supplied for months

I'm putting one together because I've been told this winter could get real nasty here in Canada. Week long stretches of -40 to 50 weather causing power outages etc.

I think about it, but haven't done it.

shit ive had this for years... read my prior post...

I prolly call it my "grab and go" bag...

Here is what I did. I've seen this coming for a while and have even posted about it.

* I moved to Thailand. My overhead here is so low it's funny. I can live on close to nothing.

* I have my money spread out in various NON-US banks and are held in several different currencies.

* I have enough cash at hand to cover me for 2+ years should the bottom fall out and I lose all sources of income.

* I have zero debt!

* I have access to firearms (and other military arsenal) here and in the USA should they ever be needed.

* My girlfriend has a lot of farm land where her family lives off the land. If all else fails I can have food and shelter there. I'll have to give up my high-speed internet but at least I will be able to eat well and have a nice roof over my head. :-)

My only regret is not having a stockpile of gold. :-(
