I just watched it frame by frame (yes I actually study mainstream trailers frame by frame sometimes)

Anyway.. pause it t exactly 50 seconds and then use your right arrow key to toggle thru. You'll see a big wall sized computer monitor screen, (hi-tech spy shit)

Look close at the text... It all says "Text Here" "Text Here" "Text Here" "Text Here" "Text Here" "Text Here" "Text Here" "Text Here" and "Technical, "Technical"...


And the other guy says "UK" for his height and weight.

The moment I can screen cap this shit I will.



You see this in trailers all the time, but I never noticed it on such a simpe graphic before.


In the Mimic trailer there is a quick cut of glass falling out of a huge skylight. When they filmed it, they dropped a sandbag thru a huge skylight, then they added the cockroach in later. But in the trailer all you see is the glass. So it's not an uncommon practice. But seriously there is a HUGE difference in a b-movie and a 007 flick.

To take a picture of the whole screen, press Command-Shift-3.
To take a picture of part of the screen, press Command-Shift-4 and drag to select the area you want.

Command-Shift-4, then Spacebar Take a picture of the selected window

To copy the screen capture to the Clipboard instead of saving it as a file, press Control-Command-Shift-3 to copy the entire screen to the Clipboard, or Control-Command-Shift-4 to copy the selected range to the Clipboard.

I am using the most expensive and fastest hardware I could get, but I don't have the time, nor will my clients allow me the time to learn a new OS.

And when I got the Mac, I played around with the setups they had at MacMall, and I wasn't impressed with the OS. I don't like the way it looks or reacts to my style of working.

I don't want to have anything to do with Final Cut Pro as that would be a step sideways for me, when I need to move forward.

So then I got the best hardware I could get, and an upgrade to an OS I was already familiar with.

So far I've only run Vegas, Firefox, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop on this machine and this fucking thing flies.

I can render 2 full HD movies with filters, edit a 3rd, and capture HD footage at the same time with no speed hits. Why would I want to switch to the Mac OS?

Not from Google but from Mac's Help Viewer not that it is something I would need to lookup as I've been using Macs since the eighties.

Thought you would know how to run Windows along side Mac OS in Parallels and not actually boot your Mac in Winblows.

Why don't you just get a PC laptop and have a proper keyboard for the OS you are running?

There's a British guy called Mark Coleran who does alot of the fake computer interfaces for Hollywood, he's pretty much got the market to himself. That looks like his work but I would guess he's done the template but the Bond people still need to provide the actual fake database info.

If you watch movies with computer screens with "data" that flashes by for dramatic effect, you can find all kinds of crap like this.

It's mostly made by graphic artists who just need filler. They don't always expect people to notice the words, just the "flash".

There's a classic hidden message in the movie ROBOCOP 2. In a scene where Robo is freaking out, you see flashes of computer data on screen. When watched at normal speed it just looks random, but when you slow it down it contains the words "AVOID ORION MEETINGS". Orion is the distributor for the Robocop movies. Me thinks someone had a bad day.

Why would you think I would know how to run a windows an a mac? That's like me assuming you know foam latex ratios and mixing times. I don't know fuck all about computers. I don't even know how to make a screen cap.

Asking me to get a laptop is also stupid. I edit movies for DVD directors, so why would I want to bring them over and have them see me working on a dinky little laptop?

I got a MacPro, 8 core, 4 terabytes, 4 gigs of ram.

It runs Mac OS (I never use it)
and Windows Vista Ultimate.

I use it for Vegas, photoshop, dreamweaver, FTP, and Firefox.... pretty much in that order.

The keyboard while super pretty... lacks a few keys. Like the print screen key.

It feels like I'm typing on a laptop, and you KNOW how much I fucking HATE laptops.
At first it felt like I was typing right on my desk with no keyboard. Like I was just hitting wood. but like you said about laptops it takes a little getting used to. Now I'm like the flash on this thing. I can actually type faster, but with my oversized fingers I make more mistakes. I can even run faster and jump higher now that I have a mac.

Oh and I stopped shaving and wearing socks. I'm either turning gay or into a hippie.
