a question to designers...

Why in the hell do 90% of you not surround forms you make with <form> tags?

Is there some reasoning for this that I'm not seeing? It's not a huge deal but it's really annoying having to edit your CSS afterwards to accommodate a <form> surrounding everything.

Does it really matter? It's just two tags and one line of css to remove the margins (assuming that's what you'd like removed).

designers != programmers

However, any designer who can't at least code standards compliant xhtml and css should be ashamed of themselves.

You have to pick your battles in this industry otherwise you are just a 'Jack-of-all-trades'. It's not 1996 anymore.
